Summer Trends: Weddings

Wedding season is in full swing! I attended a beautiful ceremony this week at Roy's Barn off of Springhill Road. Though the colors were vibrant--lush green grass, bright blue sky--do you know what the fashion trend was? Black and white prints. Worn by young and old alike, they were everywhere. Here is a sampling.

I love black and white prints. Here are some of my suggestions on how to rock this look this summer.

1. Bold is best. Go for big, bold prints. My favorites are bold floral and polka dot prints.

2. Accessorize with color. Choose a bright accent color such as red, yellow, magenta or turquoise. You can accessorize your outfit with jewelery, a belt, scarf, bag or shoes in one of these fab colors. Just make sure that they are solid colors and that you don't over-do it. One or two colorful accessories is perfect.

3. Embrace femininity. This is a wonderfully feminine look, so enjoy it! Whether you are 1 or 100, you can look like a dream in black and white prints. So make sure you give yourself a twirl. This look demands it!

  1. I'm glad someone else noticed the trend, too! Thanks for commenting on it -- and giving me ideas on how to make it look even better. :)
